WHO WE ARE

The Tri-Cities Shooting Association, Inc. (TCSA) is a volunteer organization affiliated with the National Rifle Association and the Civilian Marksmanship Program. The TCSA has operational control of a variety of shooting specific ranges and provides trained Range Safety Officers for safety oversight at the Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility (RMSF) near the Tri-Cities. The TCSA manages operationof the RMSF under a Lease/ Concessionaire agreement with Benton County.

Donations may be tax deductible as the TCSA is a tax-exempt 501(c) (3) corporation.

Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility offers one of the most extensive recreational shooting facilities in the Pacific Northwest. It is regularly scheduled to be open to the public and draws competition shooters from the Tri-Cities geographical area, Washington as well as other surrounding states, and Canada.

The 1100 acre fenced location of the RSMF consists of land belonging to the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife and the U. S. Bureau of Land Management. This property is administered by the Benton County Park Board under a Memorandum of Understanding with the two property-owning agencies.

The facility has 13 Cowboy and Practical Pistol bays, a multi-purpose rifle and pistol range with 20 covered firing points, a covered Hunter Education range with a Practical Field Exercise area, a 20 firing points high power rifle range with nine shooting lines up to 1000 Yards, a primitive range, a Rimfire (.22 caliber) plinking range, a Centerfire pistol plinking range, and a shotgun range with sporting clays, trap, and skeet fields.

The Rose-Iris multipurpose range is open to the public for rifle and handgun shooting every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM, weather permitting. Extreme weather conditions can cause closure.

Outside organizations may reserve the use of the special purpose ranges for events by submitting a Range Use Request form to TCSA. If needed, our Range Safety Officer staff may assist in supporting users with firearm safety oversight. A number of regularly scheduled events take place at the RMSF including:

  • Practical pistol competitions are held on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
  • High power rifle matches are held as scheduled on the TCSA Calendar.
  • Cowboy Action shooting matches are held on the last Saturday of every month.
  • The Shotgun Facilities are open every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 3pm.

Non-TCSA members using the multi-purpose range or participating in shooting events are required to pay a $10.00 daily usage fee plus any appropriate target fees.
